Michael Chaffers Michael Chaffers is a senior consultant with ThoughtBridge in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He advises organizations and individuals on negotiation strategies, and on the management of external and in-house work relationships. Using frameworks, tools, and concepts developed by ThoughtBridge and the Harvard Negotiation Project, Michael helps clients realize that their approach to problems, disagreements, and opportunities has an impact on the quality and durability of negotiation results, as well as on future relationships. Michael has worked with a diverse group of clients including corporate senior managers, school district superintendents, and presidents of non-profit organizations. He specializes in the information technology industry, where he helps companies effectively negotiate contracts and joint venture agreements, and manage complex projects. Mr. Chaffers became acquainted with many of the principals at ThoughtBridge through his studies at the Harvard Law School, where he assisted in teaching negotiation courses for the Harvard Negotiation Project and for Harvard's Program of Instruction for Lawyers. Mr. Chaffers is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and the Boston Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, and his B.A. from Stanford University. |
